The First Currency Wars

First Sight:

When we landed on this unknown beachhead, evidence of past financial activity on the island was all around us. The scattered stone money disks, and the many shallow graves all over the island suggest that this must have been a financial depository of some kind, fashioned by a long dead civilization.  The large, perfectly round stone disks were hewn from a rock not found on the island. Considered as proof-of-work: the epic journey from the mainland across treacherous seas in archaic vessels; the intrinsic financial value of these disks is self-evident. However their monetary function remains a mystery to me for the moment.

The shattered tombs themselves revealed a long history of brutal violence. War, mutilation, starvation, cannibalism, are scored into the bones themselves. A sad accounting, for those with the training to read the skeletal Ogham.

Could we do better?

Will we?

Rock and Roll

We are looking for people to help build a new culture on the island. One where money itself is a means of communication and community building. A tool based on trust and sufficient for the purpose.
